Content Planning 101
Content Planning 101
Are you tired of trying to figure out what to post on your social media accounts everyday? Or better yet, you have a ton of ideas but don’t know where to start? We’ve all been there. Planning out your social media content in advance is not only going to save you a ton of time, it’s going to allow you to strategically think through what your content looks like for the month ahead.
Create Content Themes
Plan a minimum of 5 content themes that you will share on a regular basis (inspiration, new products, recipes, etc.)
Editorial Calendar
Create a monthly editorial calendar that maps out every post, with a designated time, copy and photo.
Schedule Content
Invest in a scheduling tool to help you keep everything in one place and make sure you never miss a post, I love Later.com for Instagram or Sprout Social for everything else.
Review Content Every Week
Things are always changing, especially in 2020. Set a reminder every Monday to review your content for that week, and make sure it aligns with the social climate and is still relevant to your business to avoid any errors. (You don’t want to post a product you suddenly ran out of!)
Follow Inspiring Accounts
Be sure to keep up with other likeminded brands, blogs, and accounts to help you stay inspired so that you’re constantly getting new ideas to keep your content fresh for the next month.
